A: Yes, 100% private. All compression is done locally in your browser using JavaScript. No image is ever uploaded to our server.

Q: Is there a file size limit?

A: Technically no, but large files (e.g., >20MB) might crash smaller mobile browsers due to memory limits. We recommend files under 20MB for best performance.

Q: Why did the file size increase?

A: This can happen if the original image was already highly compressed, and you try to re-save it with a higher quality setting (e.g., re-saving a Quality 60 JPG as Quality 90). Try lowering the Quality slider.
